For sale my 1995 W124 E Class E420 V8 powered Mercedes-Benz I have been a Mercedes Benz fan ever since my grandad has w123’s and W114’s as we were growing up in Bath UK.Over the years we (our family) have had many classic Mercedes cars, an whilst living in London i was also a member of the Mercedes Benz UK owners club. My wife drives 1995 W124 E300, our daughter has a 1995 E320 W124 and i also recently bought myself a 1994 W124 Wagon. Which is part of the reason that i decided to sell this V8 W124 E420. Its a super reliable car and has all the charm of a classic W124. Last of the hand built German super cars. I heard about this car for sale whilst visiting a VW Bus friend in Colorado. Once i saw the car and saw all of the service history i knew i had to have it.First thing i did was to book it on with Salims’s in Colorado Springs to have a full check over and full service. They are a very reputable Mercedes-Benz specialist.The bill came to just over $1500.00. RECEIPT included for all work done.They fitted a new fuel pump, Filter and pressure regulator. Carried out full oil service and filter using Mobile one synthetic oil. They replaced air filter, and carried out a transmission service, chaining filter and gaskets.Replaced the spark plugs and carried out a A/C leak check and re charged the system. The extensive service history includes the original Mercedes-Benz purchase order receipt showing that it cost $53,590 back in 1995 ! All folders included and owners manuals etc And all the keys. There are four keys in total. Central locking works perfect. As do the electric seats and slide and tilt sunroof.I just swapped the original wheels with the 17″AMG Monoblock wheels (which i think suit the car). The 4 tires are brand new! I have the original factory wheels if you prefer those? So let me know. YOU CAN CHOOSE which wheels you prefer. to have with the car. The car is a pleasure to drive and turns heads. Great power and as i have read on the internet these are only going up in value as people are calling them the poor mans 500E !We all know the E500 and 500E’s are commanding anything up to $50-60K now.This can be used as a daily driver (save the wear and tear if you happen to own a 500E). I trust these w124’s so much. I have owned so many over the years.All last year and leading up to covid i have been driving my wife’s 1995 W124 from Las Vegas to Palm Springs California once a month to my monthly DJ gig residency. This drive is long 4 hours each way in the hot desert sun. I personally trust these cars so much! This green beauty E420 retains its charm and beauty even 25 years later. Even though its not a 200 mile brand new show car it still looks fabulous to me and i LOVE driving it. Starts up first time and the motor sounds awesome! (it has a V8 German motor remember !) The leather is looking great for the age. The gearbox changes up and down very smoothly. The Breaks are good too. The headliner still looks clean. Some of the glue on early 90’s Mercedes benz cars start to lag. The glue comes undone in the heat of the hotter USA states. So this can be re stretched and re glued. It never bothered me so i left it as is. The car was ordered new in 1995 with extras such as the genuine Mercedes-Benz cover, cd multi changer, and stainless steel door sills.In the trunk is the original took kit, jack and spare wheel. Plus a spare brand new turn signal arm. The only thing i can find wrong is that the wiper motor sometimes comes on.So the new one needs fitting.The paint job overall looks nice. I would not say its ‘show room’ as i found a couple of blemishes on some of the bodywork, and on the front bumper.There is in my opinion a ‘very light’ evidence of a light scratch below the rear drivers tail light. This was from the original owner over 13 years ago. And there some light stone chips below the front bumper. Its definitely had some touch up but this never stopped me from buying this rare and beautiful car. Its NOT a $53k looking show room car but it is a German hand built W124 that you can enjoy and drive everyday and yes they are going up every year as more and more enthusiasts realize just how amazing the built quality and reliability of these cars are. I can take photos of ALL the receipts if you wish me to do so. The service history is VAST. The A C blows ice cold. Which we need here in Las Vegas! To me this car I THINK is easily worth between 12-15K – compare that to a 500E with a top price of up to 50-60K and its does offer a nice comparison for a V8 W124 Daily Driver at a fraction of the cost. The buy it now is only $10,000 so way below what i think its worth. I am as mentioned i am a international DJ so all my gigs since march 14th and my world DJ tour gigs were all cancelled which is another reason why i even contemplate having to sell this gem!If it does not sell i will probably just keep it and enjoy it. I am not going to go any lower on the price so i am kindly pre letting you all know.
